What it does

Scrape Google Maps results

Name, phone, address, rating, review count, category, website, and maps URL — pulled from any Google Maps search.

Enrich every business

Opens the detail panel for top reviews, then researches each site in parallel for emails, social links, and tech signals.

AI pain-point analysis

Claude, GPT, or Gemini surface operational gaps (responsiveness, follow-up, staffing), sentiment, and AI-fit flags.

Scored and exportable

Every lead is scored for fit. Export the full set to CSV or JSON when you're ready to hand off to outreach.

Install in Chrome

Takes about 2 minutes. You'll load the extension in developer mode — it's not on the Chrome Web Store yet.

    Download and unzip

    Click the Download extension button above. Unzip the archive somewhere you won't accidentally delete — the folder needs to stay on disk for the extension to keep working.

    Open Chrome extensions

    Go to chrome://extensions in the address bar, then flip on Developer mode in the top-right corner.

    Load the unpacked folder

    Click Load unpacked and select the unzipped google-maps-lead-scraper folder. The extension should appear in the list as Lead Scraper Pro.

    Pin it to the toolbar

    Click the puzzle-piece icon in Chrome's toolbar and pin Lead Scraper Pro so it's one click away.

Add an AI provider

Pick one provider and paste its API key into the extension's options page. You pay that provider directly — the extension never proxies your key. Keys stay in local Chrome storage.

Anthropic (Claude)

Default model: claude-sonnet-4

Highest quality review analysis. Key starts with sk-ant-.

    Open the extension options

    Right-click the extension icon in Chrome's toolbar and choose Options.

    Pick your provider and paste the key

    Select Anthropic, OpenAI, or Google in the AI Provider dropdown, then paste the matching API key. Only the selected provider's key is used.

    Test the key

    Click Test API Key. A green check means you're ready. If it fails, the error code tells you what's wrong — usually 401 (bad key) or 429 (no credits).

    Save settings

    Hit Save Settings. The defaults for scrape limits and delays are sensible — don't tweak them unless you've hit a throttling issue.

No API key? Toggle AI-Powered Analysis off in the options page — the extension falls back to an offline keyword analyzer. Results are cruder, but there are no network calls and no key required.

Run your first scrape

    Search on Google Maps

    Go to google.com/maps and search — e.g. "dental clinics in Austin". Wait for the left-side results list to populate.

    Open the side panel

    Click the pinned Lead Scraper Pro icon to open the side panel, then hit Start Scraping.
  3. 3

    Let it run — hands off

    The extension scrolls and extracts results for you. Don't scroll Maps manually while it's running. Progress runs through three passes: listings → detail + reviews → website enrichment.

    Review and export

    When it finishes, delete any leads that aren't a fit, then export to CSV or JSON. Results auto-save every 10 leads, so a crash won't lose your work.

Troubleshooting

“Not on Google Maps” error

The active tab needs to be google.com/maps before you hit Start.

“Could not connect to Google Maps tab”

Refresh the Maps page and try again. The content script needs a fresh injection after extension reloads.

AI analysis looks generic

The extension falls back to local analysis on any AI failure. Check your key is saved and valid (use Test API Key), and watch the service-worker console for errors.

Scrape stops early

Google Maps throttles aggressive scrolling. Bump the min/max delay sliders in options and try again.
